YouTubers to watch: fitness edition

Working on my fitness

So I've been on a health kick lately. I don't know about you, but since the pandemic, I haven't felt very motivated to work on my fitness like I use to.

Believe it or not, I was a gym rat

Before COVID-19 became part of our everyday vocabulary, I went to the gym 3-5 times a week. I began working out in high school, and have kept up with some sort of workout routine every since. But, as I'm sure many of you can relate, the pandemic really put a dent into my regular workout routine, and as a result, I became less motivated and less inspired to workout.

However, things started to shift in the past few months. With the world slowly reopening, I saw a sliver of light at the end of the COVID-19 tunnel, and I decided it was time to get back in the swing of things. First, I embarked on a 30-day health challenge in June, in which I documented my progress every week. (If you haven't been in the loop on this, what are you waiting for? Click here to see my results!)

After, I challenged myself to run every day for 14 days - which you can also see my thoughts on this here. I began Blogilates Hot Girl Summer Sculpt Challenge right after, and I'm now doing a 1000 Ab Challenge.

All that is to say, I've fallen back in love with working out - this time with more gusto than ever. Specifically, I want to push myself farther and really put in 100% effort in more of my workouts, whereas in the past I usually coasted around the 70% effort level.

New Motivation = New Content

With this renewed sense of inspiration, I was on the hunt for more fitness YouTubers to add to my daily rotation of YouTube content. Having been an avid YouTube consumer for the better of the last decade, I feel confident in telling you that these are the fitness YouTubers you should know about today.

Based in San Francisco - which has had a special place in my heart ever since I lived there for 8 months for a tech internship. Mostly vlogs, Gym Shark certified athlete.

A smaller YouTuber but has such positive energy. Binged through all her videos in the past few weeks and have fallen in love.

You already know.

Based in Toronto. This channel falls in the category of YouTubers I watch, then don't watch, then watch again. Recently, she popped up on my home page and I have watched all her new videos since. Of course, I'm also biased to my Canadian creators - love to show the support!

This girl straight up makes me laugh out loud. A student going to NYU, based in New York. She has such chaotic energy and I'm here for it.

If you need some workout inspiration, get some actual knowledge on working out, or just enjoy watching people workout, definitely go check out these channels right now.
