June 30-Day Health Challenge (Meal + Workout Plan)

Who else wants to be 'that girl' for hot girl summer this year? Me too.


I am trying out a full 30-day health challenge for the month of June. I'll be tracking my progress and reporting back how it's going every week. I'll report on whether I see any changes with my body and mental health. With a full meal plan and workout plan, I want this to be the kickstarter to get me feeling healthy and strong.


I've always put my health at the forefront (or at least near the front) of my life. Health and wellness is a topic I've been passionate about for years, and it's always something I want to practice and improve on. Of course, I've fallen off the wagon throughout the years. Namely, in 2019 I gained almost 15 lbs during my 8-month internship in San Francisco, which led me to trying intermittent fasting (long story short: it wasn't for me). More recently, my full-time job has been pushing down working out to the bottom of my priorities list, while pushing up the number of occasions I stress-eat.


Now, with the weather getting consistently nice in Vancouver, Canada, and the nagging feeling of wanting to get my health and fitness back on track, I figured this is the best time to try a full 30-day health challenge for the first time ever!

Full 30 day plant-based meal plan

(If you haven't heard, yes I'm vegan). Following a meal plan is something I've never attempted in the past.


To be honest, having the motivation to workout has never been an issue for me. I can confidently say I've been consistently working out 3-4x a week since high school. What gets me is the food. I love food. And it's because of this I never even attempted to follow a meal plan for the fear of not being able to complete it successfully. What does 'success' look like? In my mind, I associate it with physically looking better- mostly in regards to how my body looks.


Like many of my other 2021 goals, this year I say f*** it- stop waiting around for the perfect time and let's just do it. So that's what I'm doing- a full 30 day plant-based meal plan. I've been looking through what I have to look forward in the PDF below and it's not so different from what I usually eat. Maybe the portions are smaller and there are less snacks...

June 2021 Blogilates Workout Calendar

If you don't know about Blogilates, then you have never searched for a workout video on YouTube. I was very into Blogilates at one point in my life, but now find myself using the Nike Run Club app and the Nike Training app on a weekly basis. Coming back to Blogilates for this month long health challenge is a nice way to reconcile my affinity for Blogilates while getting a killer bod.
