June Health Challenge Week 3

This week was prerty hectic if you've been following me on Instagram.

I moved house! And it's now Day 3 in the new house. I'm living amongst piles and piles of random knick knacks and stacks of cardboard boxes, so keeping to a workout routine and meal plan has been a bit difficult to say the least. Not only was moving physically draining, mentally I was feeling quite frazzled and unsettled - as expected.

I am proud to say that I managed to stick to my modified meal plan for the week! I did have sushi for lunch one day as my cheat meal, but besides that the meal plan continued on strong.

Meal plan: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Honestly, given the craziness surrounding moving, from not knowing where things are to a low-stocked fridge at the new house, I am quite proud that this week I was still able to eat whole foods, be mindful of what I'm putting in my body, and stick with the one cheat meal I've allowed myself to have every week (we got sushi takeout on the day of the move, and I cannot resist agadashi tofu).

If you have been keeping up with my stories on Instagram, you'll know I felt quite guilty for missing 2 days on the workout calendar. But, luckily, I mentally checked myself by reminding myself that I literally JUST moved. It's okay to give myself some slack, even though I committed to this workout plan for the month. Sometimes life gets busy, and it's okay to listen to your body and let yourself rest when you need it. Challenge yourself - yes- but understand that missing a day is not messing up, and all your efforts so far are not lost just because you couldn't squeeze a workout in.

After I came to grips with this, and allowing myself to 'slip up', I was able to approach the rest of the week with a renewed sense of excitement, and began looking forward to getting a workout in.

So, I preservered and made up for the 2 days I didn't workout and now I feel great.

I am seeing the fruits of my labour!

I'm visibly seeing a difference at the end of this week, especially when I first wake up. Dare I say I have ab definition?!

So far, I feel stronger, more motivated, and more committed to my overall health and wellness.

Especially with the chaotic energy of the move, I found comfort and calm in this routine. Being able to set time aside and do something for my own wellbeing is such a crucial part of selfcare. This week really highlighted just how important this is for me in my life.

So, one more week left to the June Health Challenge. To be honest, I'm surprised that I feel a sense of loss, that the month long challenge is coming to an end. Next week, I will reveal progress pics from beginning of the month vs. the end of the month!

Stay tuned.
